BioNoise™ Service Consent

T-1 · Version 1.0

Effective from: 2026-10-06

Please read this information when your sample is collected. By accepting this consent, you agree to take this service and give explicit consent to the processing of your personal data including special category personal data as described below. If anything is unclear, ask the provider or contact us at eu-privacy@generationlab.com before you proceed.

1. What BioNoise™ is

BioNoise™ is a wellness service. It analyses DNA methylation patterns in a blood sample and gives you a comparative, age-related informational estimate for general wellness and personal awareness.

BioNoise™ is not a medical test. It does not diagnose, screen for, predict, prevent, treat or monitor any disease or medical condition, and it does not provide medical advice. It is not a substitute for consulting a doctor.

2. The sample and the procedure

Blood is collected by venipuncture or capillary sampling, as applicable, by a trained healthcare professional or another person authorized under applicable national law, using an appropriate blood collection device. These collection methods involve well-established procedural risks, such as temporary discomfort, minor bleeding or bruising and, rarely, infection at the collection site. These risks are inherent to the applicable blood-collection method and are not additional risks introduced by Generation Lab’s analysis service. No long-term effects are expected.

The sample is transported to a designated accredited laboratory located within the European Union (EU) or European Economic Area (EEA), where DNA is isolated and DNA methylation analysis is performed.

Following completion of the laboratory analysis, the DNA methylation data generated from your sample is securely transferred to Generation Lab Inc. in the United States solely for the purpose of generating your BioNoise™ report.

Residual biological material, including any remaining blood sample and extracted DNA, is securely destroyed by the laboratory within 30 days of completion of the analysis, unless retention is required by applicable law.

3. The data we process

Generation Lab Inc. is the data controller for the personal data processed in connection with the BioNoise™ service.

Participating healthcare providers and accredited laboratories process personal data either on behalf of Generation Lab Inc. or as independent data processors/ controllers where required by applicable law.

To provide the BioNoise™ service, Generation Lab Inc. processes personal data relating to you, including special category personal data under Article 9 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Depending on the nature of the processing, this may include DNA methylation data and other personal data relating to your health.

By accepting this Service Consent, you consent to:

  • collection of your blood sample by a participating healthcare provider or collection clinic;
  • laboratory analysis of your sample by a designated accredited laboratory within the EU/EEA;
  • generation of DNA methylation data from your sample for the purpose of producing your BioNoise™ report;
  • secure transfer of your DNA methylation data to Generation Lab Inc. in the United States solely for preparation of your BioNoise™ report; and
  • processing of your personal data as described in this Service Consent and the Privacy Notice.

4. What we do not do

We do not analyse or report inherited genetic characteristics, disease risk, predisposition, carrier status or ancestry. We do not use your data to train or develop our algorithms or reference datasets. We do not sell your data.

5. Retention, and your rights

Your biological sample, and any DNA extracted from it, is destroyed by the laboratory within 30 days of completion of the analysis, unless retention is required by applicable law. We keep your data for the periods set out in our Privacy Notice at REC-4_EU Privacy Notice_v1.0.

You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting eu-privacy@generationlab.com. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before we receive your withdrawal. From that point, we will stop further processing that relies on your consent. If the analysis has already been completed, the analysis already performed cannot be reversed, but withdrawal will apply to any further use or retention of the resulting personal data that relies on your consent.

You may also request the erasure of your personal data. We will erase your data where required under Article 17 GDPR, unless applicable law permits or requires us to retain specific information, for example where necessary to comply with a legal obligation or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. If you withdraw consent before the analysis is completed, we may be unable to complete the service or provide your report. Further information about your rights and how to exercise them is provided in the Privacy Notice.
